Irish Passport Application

Irish Citizens over 18, and have held an Irish Passport can now apply online.

 

Also, if you lose your passport, if it's stolen or damaged, you can use Passport Online to report it lost and apply for a renewal.

Irish Passport Application forms are available at the Irish World Heritage Centre for other applicants (ie. Under 18s, first time applicants, change in name, passports expired more than 5 years).

Documentation

  • Original long form Birth Certificate

  • Original Civil Marriage Certificate

  • Current Photo Identification (e.g. passport or driving licence

  • Proof of name (e.g. utility bill)

  • Proof of address (e.g. recent bank statement)

  • Witness of Section 9

Those born abroad to an Irish parent need to include

  • Irish born Parent's original long form Birth Certificate

  • Irish born Parent's original Civil Marriage Certificate (if applicable)


Cost

All payments must be made by credit/ debit card

 

  • Standard 10-year passport: €80

  • Large 66 page 10-year passport: €110

  • Standard 5-year passport for those under 18 years: €30
